BeNeLux Business Council in collaboration with Dennemeyer & Associates will organize a presentation on "Brand Protection in UAE" on Wednesday, March 1st at 8am.
The focus will be on the region's changing landscape of Intellectual Property (IP) and how it can impact businesses like yours. Expert speakers will share their insights into the current legal framework, including the recent changes to the UAE's trademark law, and also address the practical aspects of dealing with infringements and counterfeits from a brand owner's perspective.

The 1st part will be on the legal framework of trademark and brand protection in the UAE (and GCC) by Yasir Masood.
Yasir Masood is a German lawyer who has been active in the field of IP since 2016. After completing his law studies in Germany in 2013 and gaining initial experience in law firms in Germany and England.
Yasir joined Dennemeyer’s Dubai office in 2016. He is a frequent speaker and author on IP.
The 2nd part on the practical aspects from a brand owner’s perspective by Mr. Cameron Walker.
Cameron Walker has 12 years of experience working in the IP Protection field for Beiersdorf AG, Germany (NIVEA). Currently he is responsible for coordinating the Global Brand Protection Strategy as well as Enforcement and Awareness Training. He has also been a Board Member of Gulf Brand Protection Group (Regional NGO) for the past 10 years.
