The UAE government has for many years, placed climate change at the top of its list of policy priorities. It recognizes that, along with other countries, the UAE is vulnerable to the impacts of physical climate change. These range from the increased incidence of extreme weather events, to future rises in sea level, and indirectly, disruptions to imported food supplies.
To highlight the annual Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and mark the one-year anniversary of the Dutch Sustainability Group (DSG), the BeNeLux Business Council in collaboration with the Embassy and Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in UAE and the Netherlands Business Council UAE, have the pleasure to invite you for a thought leadership event discussing the contributions the Dutch private sector could make to help support the successful implementation of the UAE’s climate change and sustainability policies. HE Fahed Al Hammadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Green Development and Climate Change Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) will deliver the keynote speech, presenting the latest UAE NDC in line with the Paris Agreement.
